From Name: From Email: To Name: To Email: Optional Message: Policy Corner: Committee Holding Hearings on Let's Move Campaign This week the House Education and Labor Committee and the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee are holding hearings that follow up on First Lady Michelle Obama’s stated focus on combating childhood obesity. In early February, the First Lady started a national campaign entitled Let’s Move, which places a high priority on physical activity. As these issues continue to be a priority for policy makers, ACSM will search for opportunities to inform Members of Congress and advocate for the inclusion of physical activity in relevant legislation or programs.
