RFQ: Design-build rehab of the Murray Morgan Bridge

The Murray Morgan Bridge in Tacoma, Wash., is one of the few Waddell and Harrington vertical lift bridges operating in the western United States. The bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The bridge has a total length of 1,760 feet. Its three sections are: the city approach, a multi-span steel girder structure built in 1913; the port approach, a multi-span concrete girder structure built in 1957; and a three-span steel truss over the Thea Foss Waterway with a center vertical lift span. more
