California man wins bighorn sheep lottery

from The Sacramento Bee

A southern California accountant has won the right to shoot a bighorn sheep in Idaho this fall. Earl Macasaet from Rancho Cucamonga won a lottery drawing that raised $54,000 for the Department of Fish and Game Wildlife Health Laboratory and its bighorn sheep disease research. One bighorn tag is awarded annually through a raffle, with another offered at auction. This year's lottery won by Macasaet was conducted by the Idaho Chapter of the Wild Sheep Foundation. more
