Plastic electronic skin could give sense of touch

Research engineers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have developed novel skin-mounted electronics using a polymer substrate. Components for sensing, medical diagnostics, communications and human-machine interfaces can be combined on a plastic patch thinner than a human hair.
