Justice Department sends to Congress legislative proposals to strengthen existing laws protecting servicemembers
from U.S. Department of Justice
The Dept. of Justice sent a proposal to Congress initiating several amendments to current legislation that would allow the DoJ to enhance their ability to protect the rights of members of the military and their families. Their proposal suggests changes to three statutes, one of which is the Uniformed Service Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, which guards the rights of servicemembers from employment discrimination.
