Obama: All US troops out of Iraq by year's end
from U.S. Department of Defense
President Obama announced recently that all U.S. service members will leave Iraq by the end of the year. That would formally end more than eight years of combat that has deployed more than one million Americans, many of which were deployed multiple times. Upon their return, the nation will still have the responsibility and duty to provide America's newest veterans and their families "the care, the benefits and the opportunities that they have earned," the president said.
