Top Sports Doctor Says NFL Players Union Needs to Get on Board with Blood Tests for HGH

from New York Daily News

We are told that the NFLPA is still resisting HGH testing because they are contesting the "32 signatures" of physicians and scientists endorsing the test on the basis that the doctors and scientists were influenced by anti-doping agencies that use this test. They are also seeking a "population" study of the test - the data from athletes who were used to originally set the thresholds that determine a positive test. The union wants to compare that data to a population study on football players; the union believes players may have naturally higher HGH levels than those of other athletes. more
