4G Could Net U.K. Economy £75 Billion (US $121 billion) in 10 Years

Britain will see "significant economic and social benefits" from the introduction of 4G LTE mobile broadband, it has been claimed. New research from Capital Economics, commissioned by Everything Everywhere — the mobile operator formed from T-Mobile and Orange, found that the introduction of 4G mobile networks has the potential to add 0.5 percent — equivalent to £7.5 billion (US $12.1 billion) per annum — to U.K. Gross Domestic Product (GDP). It argued that this boost could rack up close to £75 billion (US $121 billion) after 10 years. more
