The new (old) rules: EEOC issues guidance on use of arrest and conviction records in employment decisions

Odds are that your company utilizes information gleaned from a criminal background check when making employment decisions. Indeed, in a recent survey by the Society for Human Resource Management, 92 percent of responding employers stated that they subjected all or some of their job candidates to criminal background checks.
