Salmonella forces recall of nearly 30,000 pounds of ground beef

from USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service

Cargill Meat Solutions, based in Wyalusing, Pa., is recalling 29,339 pounds of fresh ground beef products that may be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis. The use-by date on all tubes of the 85-15 product has passed, but officials are concerned some consumers may have frozen the ground beef for future use.
