EPA sets limit for controversial pesticide's residue in food

from Federal Register

In a final rule issued Wednesday, the Environmental Protection Agency has set a limit for residues of clothianidin in or on rice or grain, responding to a request from Valent Corp. The rule directly regulates growers, food processors, food handlers and food retailers. Clothianidin has been suspected in the death of honey bees. The EPA also established limits for pendimethalin in or on lettuce, leafy greens, turnip greens, melons, vegetables, soybeans and small fruit vines, excluding grapes. more
