Neurostimulation works in early Parkinson's

Brain stimulation may offer benefits earlier in the course of Parkinson's disease than it is currently used, researchers found. In a randomized, controlled trial, patients with early motor complications had a 26 percent increase in quality of life scores if they had neurostimulation compared with a 1 percent worsening for those on standard medical therapy, researchers report. more
