Hospira warns of glass particulates in some nonrecalled products

from American Society of Health-System Pharmacists

In a letter dated Aug. 30, Hospira said that some of the company's lyophilized products for injection have been found, after reconstitution, to contain glass particulates. The company urged U.S. customers with specific lots of vecuronium bromide, vancomycin hydrochloride or erythromycin lactobionate to visually inspect the vials after reconstitution and not use them if particulates are present. more
