Inspectors find cross-contamination likely as chicken recall expands

from USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service

A recall on Foster Farms' chicken products issued Oct. 12 was expanded Thursday, as Costco's El Camino Real store in San Francisco warned against an additional 14,093 units of rotisserie chicken. FSIS officials say traceback indicates this new recall is the result of cross-contamination in the food prep area of the store.
