Ammunition prices double this year due to shortage

For some hunters this season, it was more difficult to find ammunition than it was deer. Although the two-week rifle deer season concluded Dec. 14, some hunters had to pay twice as much for ammunition because there simply wasn't enough to go around. "A lot of people think the dealers are marking up the prices, that's not the case," Joshua Shamonsky, owner of Shakey's Gun Shop in Orwigsburg, said Tuesday.
