King George VI School getting $1.2 million in upgrades

from Kenora Daily MIner and News

The Keewatin-Patricia School Board is on the move when it comes to upgrading its facilities across the region. Not only has work on a new kindergarten expansion on Valleyview just finished, the school board is expecting to build a brand new high school in Sioux Lookout, move into some brand new administrative offices in Kenora and build a new running track at Dryden High School. Now King George the VI will be receiving some upgrades which are expected to total about $1.2 million. One of the changes will be that the day care at the school will be moved from its current location to a new room which will be converted from one of the existing classrooms. This is expected to cost $255,000. more
