Toronto's Lower Simcoe/Queens Quay partial intersection closure, May 7-22

from OMCA

As part of the Queens Quay revitalization project, the Lower Simcoe and Queens Quay intersection will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic from May 7 to May 22 to construct a new TTC streetcar corridor across the intersection. Westbound traffic on Queens Quay will be maintained through the intersection on the south side of the street — and all driveways on the north and south side of Queen Quay will remain open. Lower Simcoe will remain open between Lake Shore and Queens Quay with full access to all driveways however southbound access to Queens Quay from Lower Simcoe will be closed. Vehicles traveling southbound to Queens Quay may use Yonge Street, Bay Street, York Street, Rees Street, Lower Spadina Avenue or Dan Leckie Way. Vehicles traveling northbound from the Queens Quay/Lower Simcoe area (including those exiting the Harbourfront Centre Parking Garage) will be diverted to Rees Street or Dan Leckie Way. More information about this construction will be included in the weekly Waterfront Toronto Queens Quay construction update. You may subscribe online at www.waterfrontoronto.ca/qqconstruction.
