University of Michigan officials want to tear down the 114-year-old North Hall in order to make way for a new $261 million Biological Science Building that has been in the works for years. The university's Board of Regents will vote on the $9 million demolition of North Hall and the Museums Annex at its scheduled Nov. 20 meeting. Recently, officials said the 48,500-square-foot North Hall would be too costly to repair. more
