National defense bill clears House, next step is the Senate

from NSPS

The U.S. House of representatives passed the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) by a margin of 300-119 on December 4. The Congressional Research Service (CRS) published a report highlighting major trends and funding within the bill. CRS highlighted the Military Construction and Family Housing program, funded at $6.5 billion in discretionary budget authority, a fractional decrease from the President's budget request. The bill includes a number of small business procurement reforms. Next up is Senate consideration and passage, expected this week prior to Congress adjourning sine die for the year. more
