Avionics industry leader: FAA mandate will cost aircraft owners, add jobs

The head of an avionics industry trade group told a Wichita, Kansas, audience that a federal rule for all aircraft flying in controlled airspace to be equipped with new GPS-based identification technology in the next five years will have significant impact.
