Alberta's growth in 2014 was strongest in Canada

Alberta led all provinces in 2014 with real gross domestic product growth of 4.4 per cent, Statistics Canada reported recently. GDP in the province grew 4.1 per cent in 2013. Nationally, Canada's GDP rose 2.4 per cent in 2014, up from 2.1 per cent the year before. British Columbia's growth also eclipsed the national average, at 2.6 per cent, while every other province was below the national rate. The Northwest Territories had the strongest growth of any region at 6.8 per cent, said Statistics Canada. more
