Study: Preschool worse for students than skipping pre-K education

There's new information to consider when deciding whether you want to put your child into preschool. A recent study suggests children who attend preschool actually do worse in school than kids with no pre-K education. The study from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee focused on preschoolers ages four through seven years old. Researchers found that by the end of kindergarten — kids without preschool caught up to, and in some cases passed fellow students who attended preschool. By second grade, the pre-K students were doing worse than their non-preschool counterparts. more
