Pan Am HOV lanes cost $3 million

from Toronto Sun

Ontarians spent more than $3 million on signs and markers for the 2015 Pan Parapan Am Games high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes that many blame for adding to the GTA's already heavy summer gridlock. The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) recently released freedom-of-information documents that provide the tally — $306,000 to paint HOV markers onto the pavement, more than $1.9 million on HOV-related signs and another $959,000 to erase and remove the markings. more
