Uterine stem cell deficiency tied to recurrent miscarriage

Stem cell deficiency and premature aging of endometrial stromal cells in the uterine lining may limit the ability to support a healthy fetus and may lead to recurrent miscarriage, researchers report. The authors say the finding is novel and provides a possible explanation for women who have had many recurrent miscarriages of unknown cause.
