Port Coquitlam senior waited nearly 2.5 hours for ambulance

A 90-year-old Port Coquitlam man suffering from Alzheimer's who fell and injured his hip and ankle recently had to wait nearly two and a half hours for an ambulance. Deputy Fire Chief Terry Hockstetter says crews were dispatched shortly after 7:00 p.m., and tended to the man while they waited for an ambulance to arrive. B.C. Ambulance says they picked the man up at 9:24 p.m. more
