2016 Mid-Year Conference Fast Approaching

The 2016 mid-year meeting is just around the corner!

Our room block at the IP Casino Resort and Spa is filling up quickly; guaranteed room rates end on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 so if you haven't made your reservation do so NOW. On-line registration will be available until 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, July 1, 2016 so don't delay. REGISTER TODAY!

The tentative conference agenda is an exciting one with a full-day "ground zero" seminar focusing on the legislative fight regarding the "No Money Bail Act" and federal lawsuits filed by Equal Justice Under the Law. The day will feature a variety of speakers on the subject, including a contingent from Alabama where the federal lawsuits began.

Terry Allen, President of Fidelis Government Relations, will also update attendees on legislative action steps regarding H.R, 4611, known as the "No Money Bail Act." Mr. Allen is a veteran political and legislative strategist with expertise on a broad range of issues — from technology, energy, judiciary, and telecommunications, to tax, trade, and health care. He served as a Congressional staff for nine years, most notably as Chief of Staff for former NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver and Congressman Steve Largent, where he oversaw all aspects of the Congressman's legislative and political agenda. In 2000, Mr. Allen left government service for the private sector. After serving six years as a partner at one of Washington's top lobbying firms, he founded Fidelis Government Relations. For over 15 years, Mr. Allen has represented some of the largest companies in America. In addition to serving as a leading government relations consultant, he has a long career as a leading political consultant for Republican candidates. Mr. Allen has consulted on over 30 political campaigns, from State House races to Presidential primaries, with significant wins at all levels.

Tuesday will feature two breakout sessions: Utilizing Your Full Licenses: additional avenues of income and Fraud: White Collar Crime. We will also be joining the Mississippi Bail Agents for a joint luncheon and speaker Tuesday afternoon followed by the ever-popular Council of Presidents' meeting.

Monday the For Women Only (FWO) luncheon will be held. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased from the conference page or through the conference module.

Monday evening will also include a joint reception with the Mississippi Bail Agents Association (MBAA), followed by a buffet dinner.

A membership meeting will be held Wednesday morning, July 13, 2016 followed by the closing President's brunch.

I look forward to seeing each of you in July! more
