Three Generations of Orthopaedic Surgeons Provide Family Legacy

The lead gift to the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation's major gifts campaign, Powering Pain Free Movement, has been committed by a 3-generation orthopaedic surgeon family. The Wright Family Legacy of $25,000 kicks off the program.

Paul Wright and his brother Stewart represent the third generation of surgeons in the family. He says, "Our family has been dedicated to the COF for five decades. Philosophically it is one of the few foundations targeted at helping Canadians during the 'prime of their lives.' Our entire family wanted to make a lasting gift with this named donation."

Powering Pain Free Movement is a campaign led by Patron Dr. Marvin Tile aimed at growing the COF revenue base to enable the Foundation to invest additional funds in research, while continuing to provide educational and support programs for patients. The program has 2 components: industry support, and individual/surgeon support.

The COF Board is grateful to the Wright family for this lead gift.
