New White Paper on Innovative Ways to Assess Chronic Ankle Instability

Nearly 25 percent of all sports injuries are ankle sprains which, if left untreated or if improperly diagnosed, can result in lingering symptoms and decreased athletic performance. Historically, clinicians and researchers have conducted balance assessments based on center of pressure displacement measurements; however, more recently, time-to-boundary (TTB) has been used because of its ability to discriminate postural control deficits present in subjects with chronic ankle instability (CAI). Download this white paper to explore a new way to assess CAI. Note: On occasion, ACSM shares initiatives conducted by our industry supporters that may be of interest or value to ACSM members. ACSM does not endorse any product or service. more
