Germany, Singapore, France, U.S., U.K. sending aircraft to RCAF exercise

The RCAF says that it started planning for the 50th Maple Flag exercise. Planning is underway at 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alberta for the exercise which will run into two phases of two weeks each. The exercise starts May 29 and ends June 23. The first part of Maple Flag will involve mainly RCAF planes although France is contributing an airborne warning and control aircraft as well as an A400M transport plane. The United States will be providing an AWACS. RCAF aircraft include CF-18s, Griffon and Chinook helicopters and C-130J transport planes. more
