Forging a cleaner and more innovative economy in Canada
from Sustainable Development Technology Canada
The March 2016 Vancouver Declaration commits Canada's First Ministers to work together on the development of a Pan-Canadian framework on clean growth and climate change. To this end, First Ministers directed the creation of working groups in four areas, including clean technology, innovation and jobs. Innovation is a fundamental part of the knowledge-based economy since it is, directly or indirectly, the key driver of labour productivity growth and, thus, the main source of national prosperity. It is in the context of the clean-tech sector that it is here analyzed.
