Controversial GSA schedule for geospatial products and services proposed

from NSPS

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the General Services Administration (GSA) will host an Industry Day on March 6, 2017 for all interested industry partners who offer commercial earth observation products and services. The session is to introduce NGA's Commercial Initiative to Buy Operationally Responsive GEOINT (CIBORG). You can attend in-person or remotely. The session will be at the General Services Administration Conference Center, Room 1460, 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20405. To register to attend in person, click here. For virtual attendance, click here.

As a member of the Council on Federal procurement of Architectural & Engineering Services (COFPAES), NSPS has held that such price-based GSA schedule contracts violate the “Brooks Act” and Section 1427 of the Services Acquisition Reform Act (Public Law 108-136). For information on the COFPAES position, see the COFPAES Memo on Brooks Act - GSA Schedules and COFPAES Urges OFPP to Stop GSA Schedule Violations of Brooks Act. more
