NSPS members prepare for Capitol Hill Day

On Wednesday, March 15, NSPS members will promote legislation on Capitol Hill on issues that will create more demand for surveying, mapping and geospatial data, services and technology, such as FEMA flood mapping reform, Infrastructure, and Private Sector Utilization. If you plan to attend Capitol Hill Day, and could not participate in one of the webinars we presented over the past two weeks, please click here to review the recording. This one hour briefing will provide all the details you need to make your day with Congress enjoyable, effective, and productive.

MAPPS/NSPS will purchase Metro cards for those who have registered for Capitol Hill Day to provided transportation to and from D.C. The cards will be distributed at the briefing on Tuesday, March 14 at 4:00 pm.

After the Capitol Hill appointments on Wednesday, there will be a "Tech Time" session back at the Sheraton Hotel.

For those who have made a contribution to the NSPS PAC Jefferson Club (click here), a NSPS PAC at our dinner on Capitol Hill is planned for Tuesday evening, March 14. The guest speaker will be Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and other special guests from the U.S. Senate will attend.

There is still time to register for the overall NSPS/MAPPS conference, Monday March 13 through Wednesday, March 15. The conference will include sessions, presentations and discussions on current issues and policies affecting surveying, mapping and geospatial professionals, including opportunities presented by the new Trump Administration. The conference will be at the Sheraton Hotel in the Washington, DC suburb of Silver Spring MD.
