FREE WEBINAR — A Surefire Way to Standout in a Sea of 'Me Too' Replacement Window Competitors

from AWDI

Study shows replacement window dealers who think consumers worry about products and price or being ripped off are missing the boat. Consumers have done their homework and are looking for something else.

Homeowners worry about whether they will be able to find a window dealer who’s competent specifying, measuring, removing and installing their new window – and the most popular consumer vetting services, like BBB, Angie’s List, HomeAdvisor, etc. never check those contractor skills or competencies.

AWDI did a study among more than 2,000 homeowners who replaced their windows and found more than 50 percent of all window purchase decisions were based on third-party credentials and endorsements. Equally telling, not one mentioned BBB, Angie’s list, Home Advisor or any other contractor reference service.

The only reference consumers used regularly was Consumer Reports Magazine. Thirty-one percent indicated Consumer Reports' advice was the most important advice they got. And that advice was not about business acumen or product performance, but about core competency in doing their job right.

The dealers who truly are able to differentiate themselves from their “me-too” competitors do it by promoting the service they perform – not the products they provide. And it shows in their increased closing rates, profits and satisfied customers.

AWDI and MarketSharp are presenting a FREE Webinar on Aug. 24 to share the techniques and strategies these dealers use to successfully differentiate themselves in their marketplace. more
