Survey: 38 percent of US employees say winter weather negatively impacts mood

Much of the U.S. entered the new year facing below-freezing temperatures, feet of snow and even ice storms. And the harsh winter weather can lead to the “winter workplace blues” for affected workplaces, according to a survey of more than 2,700 U.S. workers by Accountemps, a division of Robert Half International Inc. The survey found 38 percent of professionals said winter weather has a negative impact on their mood at work, and about one-quarter, 26 percent, cited January as the least happy month. more
