Chronic pain is often considered exclusively from a physical standpoint, but counselors can help many sufferers find some relief by looking at both body and mind. From mindfulness and relaxation and breathing exercises to simply listening to what they are going through, practitioners can help clients find ways to manage chronic pain and related issues, such as isolation or feelings of helplessness.
