Social media no longer grocers' greatest value in mobile devices

Once the top advantage grocers found in shoppers' mobile devices, social media appears to now take the backseat preference-wise to online ordering and personalization platforms, new research from Progressive Grocer has revealed. Facebook, which topped last year's list, fell to No. 7, from 59.1 percent to 25.9 percent, among retailer respondents polled for Progressive Grocer's "2018 Annual Report," set to release soon. more
