EIA 914 — US oil production stalls due to weather-related issues

The expected growth in U.S. oil production failed to materialize in January after experts forecast domestic crude oil production to reach 11.25 million barrels per day in 2018. The first month of the year saw production of only 9.964 million barrels per day. Weather-related issues affected drilling in Texas and New Mexico during January. February was expected to increase to 10.2 million barrels per day. more
