Pitch counts good or bad for high school baseball?

from Monroe News Star

A new pitch-count rule instituted this season by the LHSAA has been hailed as a good move by some north Louisiana coaches, but others question the disruptions the mandate has caused. The rule stipulates that a high school athlete, who throws 76 or more pitches on a Tuesday, can't pitch again until at least Saturday. A two-day rest is required for someone throwing 51-75 pitches. more
