Study: Elementary educators' effectiveness varies by subject

Observing and evaluating teachers has become a much larger part of a school administrator’s job. But this study suggests that if principals or other evaluators only see teachers during the ELA portion of the day, they may miss out on important information about how teachers organize math lessons, or vice versa. Additionally, teachers might not gain feedback that can help them improve their quality of instruction, which directly impacts the quality of education a student receives. more
