Powered for Patients receives DHS technology development grant

from IAEM

The Department of Homeland Security has selected Powered for Patients as one of ten organizations to lead innovative research and development initiatives as part of the DHS 2018 National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) Security & Resilience Challenge. Through the DHS project, Powered for Patients and its technology partner, Talus Analytics, will create a prototype to consolidate data streams from various fault detection and automated reporting systems connected to emergency power at hospitals and other critical healthcare facilities throughout the country. This consolidated data stream of different technology company data feeds will provide government officials and utilities with a single dashboard through which to view and assess real time threats to emergency power during extended power outages. The success of this project will depend on the active engagement of many stakeholders. To learn more about the project, view a list of current stakeholders, and find out how to participate in various stakeholder categories, visit the Powered for Patients website. more
