For 4 days, Richmond had a front-row seat to professional swimming's transformation

The 50-meter steel pool was originally built in Omaha, Nebraska, before being disassembled into hundreds of six-foot segments, shipped to Chesterfield County and reconstructed. Its original purpose was to host the 2008 Olympic trials, and in 2012 it became part of the Collegiate School Aquatics Center. Recently, the pool witnessed its biggest attraction since 2008, hosting the TYR Pro Swim Series, a professional swimming circuit that features some of the sport’s premier names, such as Katie Ledecky and Ryan Murphy. more
