B.C. government helping Prince George trades apprentices be 'industry ready'

from Prince George Matters

There will be 18,000 job openings in the next decade for northern B.C. trades. That’s according to the province’s Advanced Education Minister Melanie Mark, announcing Prince George as one of five regions in a new initiative that will see 20 people assume advisor roles for industry apprentices at post-secondary schools. The Industry Training Authority (ITA) claims this outreach program will help students continue to build on the education they’ve received, plus gain attraction from employers to be fully "industry ready." more
