Federal Railroad Administration grants $272 million for 10 rail projects
from Railway Technology
The funding, which the agency will provide through its Federal-State Partnership for State of Good Repair Program, will be allocated to rail projects in 10 states, including Illinois, North Carolina, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Wisconsin. Funds will be used to upgrade rail infrastructure such as track, switches, bridges and highway-rail grade crossings; to modernize stations; and to procure or overhaul equipment, including passenger cars. more
