Name: Kalen Privatsky
Involvement with the AAOE: I have been involved with AAOE since 2006. I have been on the Member Communication Committee for the last two years and am currently the chair of this committee.
Practice name: Valley Orthopedic Associates/Proliance Surgeons, Inc.
Location: Renton, Wash. — 10 miles south of Seattle
Practice information: 14 orthopaedic surgeons, three nonop physicians, 10 PAs, ASC, MRI and three practice locations
Hobbies: I enjoy all outdoor activities including water and snow skiing, fishing, hiking, etc. I also enjoy coaching my son's basketball and baseball teams.

Favorite book: "Wooden on Leadership: How to Create a Winning Organization" — John Wooden Favorite movie: I like most all comedy movies.
Other interesting facts: Over the last few years I was a volunteer firefighter for my community. It was a great experience. I really enjoyed the adrenalin rush and working as a team as a first responder.
