Obama to Sign $787 Billion Stimulus Bill Today

Savoring his first big victory in Congress, President Barack Obama on Saturday celebrated the newly passed $787 billion economic stimulus bill as a "major milestone on our road to recovery." Speaking in his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama said, "I will sign this legislation into law shortly, and we'll begin making the immediate investments necessary to put people back to work doing the work America needs done." Obama added, "It will shore up our schools and roads and bridges, and infuse cash into new sectors like green energy and technology that will sustain our economy for the long term.” More

On 2-12-09 the officers had their first meeting to discuss up coming chapter meeting, tours and training. We have put a skeletal frame work together for the year and now we need your input to put meat on it. No one knows more about what we want to gain through AFE than our chapter members. So take a moment and think about what resource you may have to offer to the group or let us know what type of tours and training you would like to see offered.

At this time I would like to reintroduce Chris Castle, as our Secretary he will be taking your ideas and continuing with the updates and email communications.
