Federal tax credits extended for energy-efficient building, improvements

When the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 was passed, contractors and homeowners were rewarded for energy-efficient construction and high-efficiency appliances through renewed and revised federal tax incentives. Those credits have been extended through 2013, and strategies such as using propane-fueled appliances could mean money back for businesses and homeowners.

"There has been a lot of talk about the potential of offshore wind power, but the market for cold climate wind energy is more than 10 times greater.
