What does it take to manage a space shuttle and a million insects? Nancy Bechtol, CFM, will be the keynote speaker for the Facilities America Education Forum to be held in Arlington, Va., Sept. 10-12, 2012. Her presentation on "World Class Facilities, the Smithsonian's Largest Treasure" will highlight the special challenges of managing facilities that house everything from the tiniest insects to the Star Spangled Banner to the space shuttle Discovery. In addition, conference attendees will have the unique opportunity for a behind-the-scenes facilities tour of the Smithsonian's magnificent Udvar-Hazy Center of the National Air and Space Museum which houses Discovery and many more space and aviation exhibits.
