Members of The Association for Facilities Engineering will be offered rare access to two of the world's greatest facilities marvels at Facilities America in Las Vegas: a free guided facilities tour of the Fountains of the Bellagio and the facility's Central Plant. The guided tour of the Fountain Show at Lago Bellagio will give you a behind-the-scenes look at a lake of more than 8.5 acres, containing 22.5 million gallons of water and 1,214 Water Emitting Devices that rocket water 460 feet into the sky at 500 PSI. The Bellagio Central Plant features nine Caterpillar Generators at 1750 killowatts each, 10 York Chillers 1325 tons each, 13,250 tons of air conditioning and nine cooling towers in the main plant. Space is limited. Reserve today for the tour to be held Oct. 11,  from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. More

He met with Energy Secretary Steven Chu and the program's director, Jonathan Silver, when his company was seeking support for a 1,000-megawatt solar thermal plant it wanted to build in the California desert in Riverside County.
