MwDA Fall Classic Registration Deadline TOMORROW

The 10th Annual MwDA Fall Classic Golf Tournament will be held at the picturesque Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Sponsored by A.O. Smith, the event will be held Monday, Sept. 22, and will feature one of the PGA Tour's finest, Tommy "Two Gloves" Gainey. Gainey will be showcasing his short game during the putting challenge; see if you can beat him! It will be followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m., which will kick off a day of golf followed by an evening reception and awards dinner. Energy Supply Chain Jobs Grow if US Opens New Areas to Offshore Development

Manufacturer Growth Leads to Surge in Capital Investment

U.S. industrial manufacturers are maintaining their optimism about the direction of the domestic economy in the second quarter of 2014, according to the Q2 2014 Manufacturing Barometer, released by PwC US. This report indicates a rise in capital spending plans among industrial manufacturers as they focus on using their cash positions to strengthen their products, add personnel and secure technology in competitive markets.

Why Don't Construction Companies Use Security as a Matter of Policy?

Companies in the construction industry are lucky. They have the ability to secure extensions of labor and/or material on credit built directly into the law and without the need to get approval from any other party. Companies in other industries would love this type of protection. Even so, most industries in which security is available use it as a matter of course, even if the security must be granted voluntarily. So, why doesn't the construction industry always use the security available to it?
