WaterSense® Gains Champion in Congress
American Supply Association
A key priority of ASA gained support in the House with the introduction of the Water Advanced Technologies for Efficient Resources Use Act of 2015. As our letter of support states "our members are dedicated to advancing commonsense initiatives that improve water efficiency and reduces waste of one of our most precious resources. From its beginnings, ASA has been intimately involved and supportive of authorizing WaterSense® nationwide. Having a champion in Congress as well as legislation providing incentive programs would benefit this program immensely. By also directing government entities to purchase the most efficient products and appliances, the taxpayer wins."

Network2015 in Chicago Promises to Raise the Bar
Supply House Times
Last year's American Supply Association-produced Network event in Las Vegas set a new high-water mark for attendance. A year later, ASA officials are expecting another record turnout as the industry converges on the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile for Network2015 Oct. 27-29. "Network has become the largest concentration of distributors and manufacturers in one place at one time. This is where relationships are forged," ASA Executive Vice President Mike Adelizzi says. "In terms of the greatest concentration of buying power in one place at one time, it absolutely is the place to be. We've worked hard to expand the value and attendance over the past six or seven years to the point where if you are serious about the future of your business, you've either attended or you're seriously thinking about attending. More distributors to work with, stronger thought-provoking educational sessions and a look into next year’s economic trends make it a can’t-miss event."

Brandonand Jeremy Smith both were exposed to the PHCP distribution business at young ages. As kids they worked for their father, Don, and uncles, David, and Dan, stocking shelves, loading trucks, making deliveries and doing other miscellaneous tasks for Mesa, Ariz.-based Central Arizona Supply. For Jeremy Smith a particular business philosophy his father employed left a major impression, one that still comes into play today as the brothers continue to operate and grow the 10-location company. The Importance of Ergonomics in a Distribution Center
By Piyush Bakshi
Musculoskeletal disorders are twice as common in the warehousing and distribution sector as they are with other industries. Ergonomically designed distribution centers can not only elp bring down incidences of injuries to workers, but also cut down the amount paid in workers' compensation.
